    How to Enable ALSA Controls in Kmix
    Submitted By: admin Date: May 28, 2015, 03:46:48 PM Views: 339

    You have probably discovered that more recent versions of kmix are locked in to using pulse audio and providing only pulse audio controls. For many of you, this isn't an issue, but those of you who would prefer to have the ALSA controls available instead of the pulse audio controls, do the following:

    Add the following to either /etc/profile or ~/.bashrc:

    Code: [Select]
    KMIX_PULSEAUDIO_DISABLE=1
    export KMIX_PULSEAUDIO_DISABLE

    The next time you reboot, kmix will present you with the full suite of ALSA controls.
