How to Disable Baloo File Indexing
Submitted By: admin Date: November 20, 2015, 12:55:06 AM Views: 305

With recent KDE updates, some config files have now moved out of $HOME/.kde4/share/config and are now maintained in $HOME/.config - baloofilerc is one of these files.

To disable file indexing, edit $HOME/.config/baloofilerc and add the following lines to the top of the file:

    Code: [Select]
    [Basic Settings]
    Indexing-Enabled=false

    Reboot after making this edit.

    Cheers
