    i686 mono issues
    « on: November 28, 2017, 07:09:02 PM »
FYI - arch32 is having some issues with mono-addins, mono-upnp and mono-zeroconf. The packages are valid, but their pgp signatures haven't been updated to mesh with the arch32 keyring which causes pacman to complain that they're corrupt which in turn causes an installation error. This will impact the installation of both the deskpro and developer bslx32 versions.

There are 4 ways to get around this issues from your live system before running the installer:

    • edit /etc/pacman.conf and move the bluestar entry from the bottom of the repo list to the spot before extra (I've added the packages to the bluestar repository)
    • edit /etc/pacman.conf and change the security settings for extra from "PackageRequired" to "Never TrustAll"
    • edit /usr/share/calamares/modules/packages.conf and remove all occurrences of the 3 mono entries.
    • install them manually first (or afterwards if you remove them from the calamares packages.conf config file) using 'pacman -U'

    Personally I'd recommend #1.

Any method you choose is temporary and will not be replicated in your actual installation. Remember to do this prior to starting the installer.

In the future, I will be changing the order of the repositories in /etc/pacman.conf, positioning bluestar before extra so that I can override problematic packages. This will only apply to arch32 builds.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the Facebook page.
